I realize that every time I post a turkey craft, I declare them the "cutest/most adorable turkeys ever!" So - I'm not going to say these ones are the cutest, but I AM GOING TO SAY that they are EQUAL to the rest of the turkey crafts on our page ;) Also...I can say with 100% certainty that these ones smell the very best!
I also can't post a turkey craft without thinking of this iconic, Thanksgiving moment (above). CLASSIC!
Okay, onto you making these equally-as-cute-as-any-other-turkey-craft turkeys this fall....
WHAT YOU NEED:
playdough (we used a no-cook cinnamon scented version by Messy Momma Crafts)
sturdy feathers (easier to stick into the playdough!)
googly eyes
red and orange craft foam
scissors
additional embellishing items (e.g. pipecleaners, fall confetti, etc!)
HOW TO MAKE:
Gather your materials. So that everything is ready for the kids to create, I like to pre-cut orange beaks and red wattles out of the craft foam.
Invite the kids to create a turkey (or two, or three!)
Pour a hot cup of coffee to enjoy while the turkey factory is open for business!
I'm thinking if you substitute the playdough with air dry clay, you'd have a great take-home Thanksgiving project for kids at school!
Juliet made this one a few years ago and the four little legs STILLLLLLLL melt my heart ;)
Happy Turkey-making, friends!!!
Love,
Linds XOXO
