Modelling Clay Poppies

Aren't these pretty? <3

WHAT YOU NEED:

• modelling clay (red) or playdough

• black gems or buttons

• optional: photos of poppies for inspiration

HOW TO MAKE:

1. Warm up your clay by rolling it around in your hands :)

2. This is very much an exploratory process. You can see that my girls made 4 small balls and then "smushed" each one to make 4 petals. They connected them together by overlapping.

3. Add a black center using a gem or a button!

So many rich conversations come about during poppy art <3 Creating together is where it's at.
