Sometimes my greatest ideas come when Phil is tidying up the basement.
Phil: "Linds, do we really need all of these empty disc ornaments? What about the hundreds of mini ducks with Santa hats?"
Me: "Yes, I'm using them next week for a craft in kindergarten!"
It's always a lie. Until I make it true ;)
WHAT YOU NEED:
clear disc ornaments (these ones were purchased during Boxing Week sales at Michaels last Christmas)
holiday ribbon
ducks with Santa hats (a Temu purchase!)
disc filler (pom poms, sparkly garland, ribbon, felt, pipecleaners, etc)
lucky duck tag (message me for a copy!)
skewer
HOW TO MAKE:
Invite artists to fill their disc ornament with the various fillers you've set out. The ornament should be fairly full in order to keep the duck in place and visible.
Once full, use a skewer to place a mini duck inside the ornament. The skewer will help you place it so you can see it! :)
Replace the ornament lid and tie on a ribbon (along with the hole-punched lucky duck tag!) so it can hang on a tree branch at artist homes :)
Aren't these the sweetest Kindergarten made ornaments? They are low-stress and totally achievable if you're looking for a last-minute parent gift!
Happy creating, friends! I'm one lucky duck to have you here at The Art Stadium <3
Love, Lindsay
