You know what's really, really cute?! EVERYTHING VALENTINE'S DAY! Just think about all the hearts and sparkles and kindness and.....crafting opportunities.....and.....it easily becomes a favourite holiday around here ;)
These cupid floats look so sweet in our kitchen this month - bringing some Valentine's Day spirit to one of our main gathering places. Dive into the recycling bin to make some too!!!
WHAT YOU NEED:
cardboard
scissors
paint (we used white acrylic)
cotton balls
hot glue & sticks
white glue
embellishing items: heart sticks, glitter, paper doilies, pom poms, straws, etc.
HOW TO MAKE:
Begin by cutting your preferred cup shape from cardboard.
Paint the cardboard your desired colour. We like to use white, acrylic paint because it has good coverage and creates a blank canvas :)
Decorate the "cup" as you like, adding the embellishments you have at home!
Top your cupid float with cotton balls, sprinkled with glitter and a pom pom! We found it helpful to glue the cotton balls onto a rounded piece of cardstock that we stuck to the back side of the cardboard cup.
Add a straw if you wish!
Sending you all-things-happy, sweet friends!
Love,
Linds XOXO
