CANADA POSTCARDS

Updated: Oct 30

There’s two things I really, really love here:

  1. CANADA (obviously!)

  2. A WASHI TAPE BORDER!!!

What more could a creative person ask for?

Spread some love this Canada Day with these easy peasy Canada Postcards!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • washi tape

  • water color paint

  • thick cardstock or paper (we used recipe cards!)

  • Canada stickers

  • pen/pencil

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. Add washi tape to all four edges of your paper, creating a border.

  2. Paint inside the washi tape border using water colour paint.

  3. Allow paint to dry.

  4. Remove the washi tape to expose a classy white border.

  5. Add Canada stickers as desired.

  6. Write a little note on the backside and send it to a friend in the mail!

ACTIVITY EXTENSION:

  • This is the perfect penpal activity! Teach your penpal something about Canada that you find interesting! Send it away in the mail to make their day

CONNECTION STARTERS:

  • Have you ever received a postcard?

  • If you could receive a postcard from any other country, which country would you choose?

  • What are some interesting facts about Canada that we could write on the backside of our postcard?

  • How do you think a postcard gets from us to someone else?

THINGS TO CELEBRATE & ENCOURAGE:

  • Applying and removing tape

  • Applying stickers independently

  • Letter or word formation while writing a message

  • Pencil grip!

When we return to Kuwait, we hope to do the same thing – Kuwait style!!!

Happy connecting, dear friends!

XOXO,

Lindsay
