Abstract Olympic Rings (Made with....MY DOG!)

Updated: Oct 29

When I say everyone is an artist, I mean it! EVERYONE. IS. AN. ARTIST. Including....my dog, Oakley! :)

We are an Olympics-loving family over here with an "Olympics" tree to prove it. Yep, we have a year-round "Christmas" tree that is updated to reflect seasons and celebrations. Here it is in all of it's WE LOVE THE OLYMPICS glory:

Of course, we can't merely stop at a tree. Hence, THE DOG ART ;)

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • a dog (haha!)

  • paint in the colours of the Olympic Rings

  • white cardstock

  • Ziploc bag(s) - depends on how many you make!

  • peanut butter (we're loyal to Kraft)

  • optional: black paper, frame

HOW TO MAKE:
  1. Place a dab of each Olympic Ring paint colour - in Olympic Ring order! - onto a piece of white cardstock.

  2. Carefully place the cardstock into the Ziploc bag, trying not to smudge the dabs of paint!

  3. Zip the Ziploc. GUYS, YOU GOTTA ZIP THE ZIPLOC!!!!

  4. Put a few smears of peanut butter onto the Ziploc. I put them nearby any paint spots.

  5. It's painting time for your pup! Hold the zippy on the floor and allow your dog to bring out his inner pup-casso. I promise they will really, really, really love it ;)

  6. Carefully remove the cardstock from the Ziploc and allow the art piece to dry.

  7. We repeated this same process 3 times and framed the artwork as a collection of 4. It's totally your choice!

  8. Ta-da......just another reason to adore your sweet pup ;) <3

We love having this piece on display in our living room. It adds a little something-something to the already-hard-core Olympics vibe ;)

Happy creating!

Love, Linds
